O Boteco's food is delicious but their real strength lies in their waitstaff. We've never had anything other than absolutely stellar service from their waiters. Attentive, knowledgeable, and full of personality. Seriously, they're fantastic! If you want an amazing steak while being practically pampered by the service, you could do a lot worse than O Boteco. We were very well received and it was wonderful to taste the Brazilian flavor in the middle of our vacation here in Europe. The meats were tender and to the point, lots of variety and impeccable service. We will be back this vacation. Wasn’t the best experience as we were expecting a Brazilian boteco & it’s more just a theme rather than a real boteco. We then realized it’s under the umbrella of a famous chef here in Lisbon & that quickly translated in to high menu prices. We felt the staff were trying to press us in to ordering as much as possible & didn’t know how many grams their steaks weighed & couldn’t really sell their menu in honest & clear way. Anyway I understand their rent must be extremely high for that location & they must need a certain amount coming in per customer. That said one should never feel pressured in a restaurant & we felt pressured, consequently overeat to the point of feeling uncomfortable. Interesting decor but our conclusion is to leave this restaurant for the tourists or people happy with a watered down version of a South American restaurant. Sentimos que a equipe estava tentando nos pressionar a pedir o máximo possível e não sabíamos quantos gramas pesavam seus bifes e não podíamos realmente vender seu menu de maneira honesta e clara. De qualquer forma, entendo que o aluguel deles deve ser extremamente alto para aquele local e eles devem precisar de uma certa quantia por cliente. Dito isto, nunca se deve sentir pressionado em um restaurante e nos sentimos pressionados, conseqüentemente comemos demais a ponto de nos sentirmos desconfortáveis. Decoração interessante mas a nossa conclusão é deixar este restaurante para os turistas ou pessoas felizes com uma versão diluída de um restaurante sul-americano.
